Privacy Policy

Depending on how you use Blend, we may collect:

• Name and display name
• Email address and account ID
• Date of birth (used to confirm you are 18 or older)
• Profile information you choose to share — age, gender, city, bio and what you are looking for
• Profile photographs and short video clips you upload
• Interests, relationship preferences and languages
• Location information, where you choose to provide it (such as your city)
• Accessibility information you voluntarily supply
• Disability-related information you voluntarily supply
• Messages and communications with us and, where the feature is enabled, with other members
• Reports you submit about other members or content
• Technical and device information (browser type, device, approximate usage data)
• App usage information that helps us understand how Blend is used
• Payment or subscription information where applicable — for example membership tier and proof-of-payment documents

Sensitive information — including accessibility and disability-related information — is only collected where you voluntarily provide it, or where it is necessary to provide functionality you have requested. You choose what to share, and you can remove it from your profile at any time.

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your account
• Provide dating and matchmaking features, including showing your profile to other members when you publish it
• Enable communication between users
• Provide accessibility-related functionality you request
• Process memberships and subscriptions
• Provide customer support
• Keep Blend secure and prevent fraud
• Investigate abuse and safety reports
• Improve the service
• Meet our legal obligations

Information you place on your member profile — such as your display name, photos, bio and preferences — may be visible to other signed-in Blend users according to your privacy settings. You can hide your profile from other members at any time from your profile page.

Communications between members are private to the people involved. However, messages may be reviewed where reasonably necessary to investigate abuse, safety complaints or legal violations — for example when a member reports a conversation. We do not use private messages for advertising.

Where memberships are paid for, payment information may be processed by third-party payment providers and banks. Blend does not store full payment card details. If you submit a proof of payment (for example a bank deposit slip), that document is stored privately and is visible only to our administrative team.

Blend does not sell your personal information. We share information only with the trusted service providers needed to operate the platform:

• Database, authentication and cloud hosting (our platform runs on Lovable Cloud)
• Email services used to send account and confirmation messages
• Payment providers and banks, where you choose to pay for a membership

We may also disclose information where required by law, or to protect the safety of our members.

We keep your information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide our services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and protect our members. When you delete your account, your profile, photos, clip, interests and matches are permanently removed, subject only to information we are legally required to retain.

You can:

• Access the information we hold about you
• Correct or update your profile information at any time
• Request deletion of your account and personal information
• Withdraw optional information (such as photos, access needs or bio) whenever you choose
• Contact us with any privacy question

You can delete your account at any time — from inside Blend (Profile → Account → Delete account) or through our web deletion request form. Full instructions are on our Delete Account page.

Blend's dating and matchmaking services are intended only for adults aged 18 years and older. We do not knowingly permit children to create dating accounts, and we verify date of birth during registration. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we will remove it. See our Child Safety Standards for more.

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect your information — including encrypted connections, private storage and row-level access controls on our database. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so please keep your password private and contact us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
